Surge protection is becoming more and more important in circuit designs, the Anti Surge SG73P series from KOA is a resistor which has approximately 10 times the pulse handling capability compared to standard thick film chip resistors. This outstanding pulse load capability makes the SG73 series suitable for protection of electronic circuits against extreme pulses and surges such as those found in gate resistors on FET designs.
The SG73P series are available in 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206 and 1210 chip sizes with power ratings up to 0.75W at 70°C depending on the size selected. The resistors are available in 5%, 2%, 1% and 0.5% resistance tolerances, T.C.R. (ppm/°C) as low as ±100ppm and resistance values from 1 Ohm to 10M Ohm.
Key Features
The SG73P series is suited to a wide range of applications where protection against pulses and surges is essential, these include Power Supplies, Industrial Equipment, Sensitive Measurement Instruments, Motor Control, Smart Metering, Power Conditioning Equipment, Inverters and Domestic Appliances.

KOA have introduced the WU73 series of wide terminal surface mount resistors, this family of resistors offer high power handling, high reliability and excellent temperature stability performance.
KOA have developed the RS73 series of precision resistors based on the more robust thick film resistor technology, featuring a T.C.R. down to ±25ppm and a tolerance as low as ±0.1%, the resistors are ideal for precision designs.
KOA have introduced the RC series of surface mount test points, they allow customers to conveniently measure signals and voltages at various points on the PCB either during production or in the field.
KOA have introduced the TLRZ series of metal plate zero-ohm jumpers which allow extremely high currents in very small package sizes compared with standard thick film jumpers.
