There are thousands of different boxes available from tiny key fobs through handheld cases and instrument boxes to larger Universal enclosures with a multitude of materials from standard ABS to UL94-V0 flame retardant plastics as well as metal. Most plastic enclosures are available in white, black or grey as standard with other colour choices on some ranges. For applications requiring splash protection or full waterproofing, there are plenty of options on many ranges right up to IP68 class.

Key fob enclosures

Key fob enclosures dedicated to RF activated mobile applications such as handheld transmitters and manual control units include 2955-20 series round key fobs, 2955-40 series Ergo key fobs and 2956/7 series Eco key fobs. Moulded in ABS, 2955-20 series round key fobs feature snap-fit assembly of lid and base, 1 to 5 rubber buttons with contact pads, enclosed battery compartment for coin cells and eyelet for key-ring. The ergonomically shaped ABS 2955-40 series key fobs also feature 1 to 5 rubber buttons with the addition of a clear silicone LED window, separate enclosed battery compartment for coin cells and eyelet for key-ring. The 2956 and 2957 series Eco key fob cases are low cost solutions. The 2956 is a black ABS moulded case without buttons featuring small eyelet for key-ring and label recess in lid while the 2957 features up to three buttons, one central or one to three plastic buttons and separate battery compartment for coin cells in base.

66 Series Grip Cases

The 66 series Grip Cases are moulded in black or light grey high impact ABS, UL94-V0 and feature screwless assembly via four soft-grip corners in TPE coated polypropylene. The soft grip corners are available in seven colours - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, grey and black - as standard to match corporate styles/logos. Custom colours are available to special order. Features include a standardised battery compartment across the range including the smaller sizes, an enhanced EPDM rubber gasket to ensure easy fitting for IP65 leakproof protection (IP62 without gasket), optional retaining screws for additional security, recesses in lid and base for membrane keypads or overlays and PCB pillars in lid and base.

Series 45 Palm Cases

CamdenBoss 45 series Palm Cases offer an ergonomically designed range of handheld enclosures with integrated battery compartments and rubber boot options. Moulded in black UL94-5VA flame retardant ABS (ivory available to order), 45 series features include lid mounted by four self-tapping screws, removable end panels ideal for machining and ease of access, sliding battery compartment lid options for AA or 9V PP3 batteries with contacts/strap included, textured lid versions for consistent all-over surface finish, smooth recess lid version for membrane keypads or overlays and recess in base for product labels. PCB pillars are moulded into lid and base with screws available to order.

50 series Dura boxes

CamdenBoss 50 series Dura boxes are aluminium extruded boxes with plastic end caps for handheld, desk or wall mounted applications. Features include integral PCB mounting rails, front and rear plastic caps retained by M3 screws with plastic screw covers for improved appearance, recesses in lid and base for membrane keypads or overlays and textured sides for enhanced grip. Options include battery compartments and holders and neoprene gaskets for IP65 seal.

7500 series FSPT^® enclosures

14 enclosure styles manufactured using CamdenBoss FSPT^® flat sheet technology enable the company to offer customer specific dimensions and other customisation without the normal design costs. The 7500 series offers six distinct design styles in a range of standard colours. The flat sheet technology requires no tooling so customers are not faced with any capital outlay and the simple designs enable CamdenBoss to manufacture enclosures to order quickly and efficiently even in low volumes. The company can also incorporate cut-outs, PCB pillars, LCD windows, LED light-pipes, ventilation and rubber feet, etc. to customer specifications. In addition, design flexibility means that should, for example, a PCB pillar or cut-out need moving or changing, this can be achieved without any cost implications.

Ideal for use in a wide range of applications and competitively priced, these cases are manufactured in the UK and offer facilities such as improved push-fit -turn assembly bolts and in-house customisation at CamdenBoss. The extensive range of high quality desktop instrument cases is designed for test, measurement, display and control applications and features functional push-fit construction for quick and easy assembly. Manufactured from moulded high impact ABS (UL 94 V0) and epoxy coated steel (lid & base), additional features include screwless assembly via ¼ -turn lock pins, horizontal PCB guides in side profiles, ventilation slots in lid and base and the cases come with front handles as standard plus a choice of four non-slip feet or two non-slip feet and two tilting feet.
