The S505H Bussmann series of ceramic fuses from EATON are rated at 400Vdc/500-600Vac, the fuses have a time delay fusing action with a high breaking capacity of 1500A. The S505H series provide an upgrade path to the popular S505 series for applications which require a higher voltage rating.
The S505H fuses have been designed to the IEC 60127-2 standard but feature a higher voltage rating and breaking capacity. The parts have multiple agency approvals including cULus, PSE, CQC, TUV and CCC allowing them to be specified into equipment destined for all the major global markets.
Available in current ratings from 500mA to 10A, the S505H fuses have a maximum AC voltage rating of 600V for currents from 500mA to 5A and 500V for ratings from 6.3A to 10A. All parts have a maximum DC rating of 400V. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C subject to derating.
The S505H fuses are suitable for a wide range of applications including Consumer goods, White goods, Power supplies, Battery chargers, Lighting and HVAC equipment.
Housed in a standard 5 x 20mm ceramic tube, these ferrule cartridge type fuses can also be specified with axial leads (pig tails) where the design requires the fuse to be soldered in the PCB rather than mounted in a holder.
