ACE Common Mode Chokes from Eaton support CAN bus and Ethernet applications, samples available from Anglia.

Date Published : 02/08/2022 Share with:

The ACE series common mode chokes from Eaton support CAN bus and Ethernet protocols making them suitable in both automotive and industrial applications where EMI issues can be present. The chokes provide excellent filtering with low parasitic capacitance to minimize noise intrusion in data lines on CAN and Ethernet modules. The ACE series was originally designed for automotive applications and are AEC-Q200 compliant, ensuring rugged mechanical and electrical performance in a wide range of temperatures.

Designed to provide common mode noise rejection on data and signal lines, the ACE series of common mode chokes utilise a wire wound construction assembled on automatic winding equipment with very tight tolerances giving them inherent low parasitic capacitance with good performance consistency across production lots. The ACE series chokes are available in 3 industry standard sizes, 0805, 1210 and 1812.

Equivalent Circuit

The ACE1V2012-R range is the smallest of the series, housed in a compact 0805 case size they boast DCR from 0.30 to 2.0 Ohms and Idc from 150mA to 400mA combined with common mode impedances from 90 to 2200 Ohms. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C (including self-temperature rise).
