CamdenBoss' acclaimed CNMB series of Modular DIN Rail Enclosures enables users to produce housings to meet almost any conceivable DIN Rail requirement. A total of eight versions are currently available offering industry standard DIN Rail unit lengths of multiples of 17.5mm to 210mm in three standard body styles. The standard colour is grey (RAL7035) although CamdenBoss can supply all the variants in customer specified colours on request.
Offering greater versatility, the CamdenBoss' design features PCB guides in 7 different positions to ensure boards are held in place firmly. Up to three PCBs can be mounted horizontally while there are four mounting positions for vertical boards. Moulded screw holes in the base facilitate mounting of PCBs with heavier components such as relays or transformers.
In addition a fully sealed base, unlike products that use holes, avoids the requirement for insulating pads and reduces assembly costs for users. All tabs on the body can be eliminated to ensure that there are no small lugs that might break off during assembly. Consequently, such an enclosure system combines the convenience of simple snap fit assembly with strength and robustness.
For those requiring ventilated enclosures, ventilation slots are incorporated in one of the styles which avoids the need for machining by the user. As well as delivering stronger mouldings compared with enclosures with machined slots, this also results in a significant cost reduction for the user. The CNMB range also incorporates enclosures with an extended insulated side wall that can either be ventilated or plain, depending on requirements.
Additional standard features include snap on terminal covers to IP20 finger protection with a choice of perforated, screwdriver and wire entry holes and tabs as standard and spring loaded DIN rail clips that can be snapped open to allow for chassis/surface mounting. Covers come as standard in grey, smoked, red and clear finishes and curved styles too. CamdenBoss can also supply an optional adaptor for mounting to G rails. Optional special features include EMC shielded metallic coated boxes.
