ROHM's BD9901x Family is a synchronous buck converter series that integrates low resistances MOSFETs. It achieves a continuous output current of 2A over a wide input supply range. The SLLMTM (Simple Light Load Mode) control ensures an ultra low quiescent current and high efficiency at low load situation as well as a high efficiency at high load situations while maintaining a regulated output voltage. The product is compliant with automotive standards and accommodates a maximum voltage of 42V. The minimum input voltage is 3.6 V in order to sustain output at cold cranking conditions. The current mode regulation loop gives a fast transient response and easy phase compensation.
BD9901x Low IQ DC/DC Converters are AEC-Q100 qualified. Ideal for use in Automotive Battery Powered Supplies (Cluster Panel, Car Multimedia).

In recent years Silicon Carbide (SiC) has emerged as one of the most viable candidates in the search for a next-generation, low-loss power semiconductor element due to its low ON resistance and superior high temperature, high frequency.
ROHM has released a new sensor shield (expansion board) equipped with 8 sensor boards (e.g. accelerometer, barometric pressure, geomagnetic, heart rate sensors, etc.) designed for use with existing open platform MCUboards such as Arduino, and mbed.
