The TSB71x series from STMicroelectronics are 6 MHz bandwidth precision amplifiers featuring rail-to-rail input and output, offered in single or multiple channel options the amplifiers are guaranteed to operate from +2.7 V to +36 V single supply as well as from ±1.35 V to ±18 V dual supplies.
The devices are available as single (TSB711) and dual (TSB712) channel amplifiers and are housed in SOT23-5 and MiniSO8/SO8. Quad channel amplifiers (TSB714) will be available in SO14/TSSOP14 packages soon. These versatile amplifiers have the advantage of offering a wide supply voltage range, an excellent input offset voltage of 300 µV maximum at 25 °C and an input offset voltage drift of 2.8 μV / °C over the amplifiers operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The TSB71x series also feature integrated ESD diode protection on the inputs, these diodes are connected between the inputs and each supply rail to protect the input stage from electrical discharge events. When the input pin voltage exceeds the power supply, the ESD diodes become conductive protecting the device from damage. This allows the devices to be specified for environments where a robust amplifier is needed such as industrial and automotive equipment, automotive grade versions are also available.
Input protection
The combination of wide bandwidth, slew rate, low noise, rail-to-rail capability and precision makes the TSB71x series useful in a wide variety of circuit designs for filters, power supplies, motor controllers, actuator drivers, hall effect sensors and resistive transducers.
Long Term support for Industrial applications
The TSB71x series is included in STMicroelectronics product longevity program which guarantees the products will remain in mass production for 10 years from the product introduction date. This gives industrial product designers the confidence to integrate them into their applications knowing the parts will not be discontinued in a short space of time.
The TSB71x series of operational amplifiers are suited to a wide range of applications including High-side and low-side current sensing, Hall effect sensors, Data acquisition and instrumentation, Test and measurement equipment, Motor control, Industrial process control and Strain gauges.
