Harwin’s Datamate Mix-Tek (M80 series) connectors provide an extremely flexible interconnect solution ideally suited to a wide variety of challenging environments and conditions, they are vibration and shock resistant and provide the ultimate flexible High-Reliability system within a single connector.
The Datamate Mix-Tek connectors are available as standard in a variety of pre-configured options that includes single row power or coax contacts with double row signal contacts all in one connector. The connectors are capable of handling up to 3A on signal contacts with 2mm pitch and up to 6GHz frequency with 50 Ohm coaxial contacts and up to 40A power contacts in 4mm pitch.
Besides the standard pre-configured connector options available off the shelf, Harwin have launched the Datamate Mix-Tek Cable Housings which now allows customers to buy the empty housings which accept power and coax or signal, power and coax contacts. Using this option allows for many more configurations vs. the standard pre-configured range, this means the connector can be specified to the exact requirement for each application. This flexible option allows customers to reduce the amount of inventory holding required especially when many different connector configurations for their end equipment are required. By holding inventory of the housings and cable contacts separately customers have a much wider variety of connector combinations available, the equivalent to 1,034 connector kits.
Housing features and options
Ideal for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) specification requirements, the Datamate Mix-Tek range is offered in the most popular cable housings sizes, compatible with each other for cable-to-cable, or with PCB connectors for cable-to-board combinations. To meet the demanding requirements of vibration, shock and strain relief, added security is provided by jackscrews, offered in a choice of different styles for added flexibility.
