Schurter introduce Type F ganged IEC appliance outlets, samples available from Anglia.

Date Published : 18/04/2019 Share with:

SCHURTER has introduced the 4751 series of ganged IEC block style outlets, this series provides an efficient solution for power distribution and uninterruptible power supply equipment. The 4751 series answers the requirement for the safe operation of systems and equipment used in data centres, telecommunication, PA-systems and other applications with multiple power connections where standardized, high grade and automated mounting processes are a necessity.

The 4751 series ganged connector blocks are available in 2, 4 or 6 IEC outlets type F, the Line, Neutral and Earth connections on the blocks are prewired and terminated using 6.3 x 0.8 mm Quick Connectors enabling fast and reliable installation. The connectors feature snap-in mounting for a 1.5 mm panel thickness and have an asymmetric panel cut-out which allows for an efficient mounting process whilst at the same time preventing false mounting to ensure proper outlet assembly. The connectors are also compatible with the V-Lock cord retaining system to prevent an inadvertent disconnection of power.

To allow for better optical distinction, for example where the connectors might be used in a multi-phase system, the individual blocks can be specified in black, grey and white colours.

The 4751 series are designed according to IEC 60320-3 type F specification and series is certified by VDE and CCC for 10 A at 250 VAC and by UL for 15 A at 250 VAC. They are specified for operation over the temperature range -25°C to +70°C.

SCHURTER have also made available an optional blind cover for the 4751 series outlets. This blind cover prevents overloading of modern power distribution strips with multiple IEC outlets, individual outlets can be protected by means of tamper resistant blind covers. These protective caps are mounted onto the outlets in the power distribution strip just like a plug, the covers are coloured in a distinctive bright red so they can be easily seen even in a low light environment. For safety reasons, the optionally available protective caps cannot be removed without a special tool/key.
