Phoenix Contact has expanded its product portfolio for fast 10-Gbps data transfer with new M12 device connectors.
The M12 flush-type connectors of type CAT6a feature angled soldering pins, enabling PCB connection at an angle of 90 degrees. The associated interface for connecting M12 field cabling to RJ45 control cabinet cabling is implemented using the new M12/RJ45 bulkhead. The plugs, offered in a pre-assembled or patch cable version, facilitate easy connection in the device or control cabinet. Thanks to in-depth expertise with high-frequency signal transmission, Phoenix Contact was able to develop an innovative shield system including the shielding of individual data pairs. As a consequence, data transmission is possible in environments with a high degree of electromagnetic noise.
In addition, the plug connectors conform to protection categories IP 65 and IP 67. This new product further expands the Phoenix Contact portfolio of data plug connectors for reliable 10-Gbps transmission.
