Advantech has announced the introduction of AIMB-267 KIOSK industrial-grade, Mini-ITX motherboard featuring an Intel® Core™2 Quad processor. The footprint of the board is only 170 mm x 170 mm and it features top-of-the-line graphic enhancements powered by second generation Intel® Core™ technology. AIMB-267 KIOSK uses Intel® 45nm Core™ 2 Quad, Core™ 2 Duo, Pentium® and Celeron® processors and the Intel® G41 express chipset, which provides balanced performance with cost sensitive benefits. It’s an ideal Mini-ITX motherboard for multi-media and high graphics KIOSK, POS, ATM and other point of sale products. Maximum Connectivity for Minimum Resources AIMB-267 KIOSK comes with high connectivity and rich I/O including: 8 x serial ports, 2 x SATA II 300 MB/s connectors, 1 CF socket, single PCIe x1, 8 x USB 2.0 ports, keyboard/mouse port, and supports 8-bit digital programmable I/O along with three BTX type Audio Jacks. AIMB-267 KIOSK also comes with dual PCI Express based Gigabit (Realtek 8111E) Ethernet ports delivering up to 1000 Mbps of bandwidth for network-intensive applications. All this connectivity is packed into a space-saving, power-efficient, and cost-effective Mini-ITX form factor. Dual Display and Excellent Graphics Performance Dual display output is supported with interfaces for VGA and LVDS (LVDS supports 3.3V, 5V, and 12V for large sized panels), which makes it suitable for integrating with panel PC solutions, and it also supports dual channel 24-bit LVDS for large sized panels. With the GMA X4500 graphic controller in the G41 chipset, 3D and video performance will be enhanced to deliver stunning graphics and imaging. Integrated Intelligent Software API Advantech also provides SUSIAccess which is a set of software APIs that adds reliability and security and centralizes monitoring and management of embedded devices, as well as helping shorten application development times. APIs for different OS include GPIO, SMBus, watchdog timer, and hardware monitor. Supported operating systems include Windows 7, Windows XP, XPE, Linux and QNX—hardware drivers for these OS are available.
